Leaves from an Autumn Term

This is designed to be no more than a quick run through of some of the events of the Christmas Term. I may well add some more full stories early in the new term.

Saracens and the 2nd Forms

Early in the term the Saracens paid us another visit. This time working with the First and Second Forms. Quite a number of boys have been to see them play at Vicarage Road this season and last season and the club's cashback scheme continues to provide useful funds for the Sports Department.

Putting in the ground floor of the new building.

The new building has created a lot of interest but surprisingly little disruption when you consider the size of the project. This mobile crane is lowering in great slabs of precast concrete to form the ground floor. The building work is on schedule with all the exterior building work finished by the end of term. More building work photos to follow.

Poppies for Peace concert

One of the cultural highlights of the term was the "Poppies and Peace" concert in November. The performances were excellent under the direction of our music supremo Mr Duke and even included a shower of poppies cunningly engineered by Mr Scott.

Individual photos time.

And for all you readers of The Independent out there, here is a photo of a photographer taking a photo. Every year individual photos take over the Art Room one Thursday morning in November. Here is one small chap from the PrePrep being recorded for posterity.

The results of a DT project.

A group of boys from 3J with the results of a DT project. From the fact that their radical looking shades are managing to hang onto their faces and they seem to know in which direction the camera is, I think they can be judged to have met the design criteria for this project.
