Welcome to a picture tour of life at St. John's - 20+ stories that touch on a lot of the things that go on in a typical St. John's year.

Originally this section of the St. John's web site was the News! section - and when it was first put together it lived up to that name. If there was any special event happening here at St. John's, I would be out and about with my camera recording it - for posterity, certainly; but also to provide pictures for the school magazine which I edited at the time. This News! section, then developed as the online version of the school magazine.

Seeing as most of these stories date from 1997 to 2000 it became increasingly obvious that it couldn't really carry on being called a News! section. Yet, as these stories and pictures, whatever their vintage, still give a good overview of all the sorts of events that happen in a typical St. John's year, I was reluctant to bin them. This Picture Story Gallery seemed to be a fitting solution.

The links to the stories are arranged chronologically with the earliest stories at the bottom of the list. I've made very few changes to the stories concentrating, instead, on updating page design for the bigger screens we have nowadays. Enjoy the stories.
