Easter term Roundup

A short term but a busy one is always the story of our middle term; and this one has been no exception. Shortly after coming back from their Christmas break the Sixth Form sat their various Senior School entrance exams and just before half term they got their results - all got into their first choice schools and many were accepted for more than one. Well done!

1st Seven playing Moulsford

One of the regular highlights of the Easter Term is our own invitation Rugby Sevens Tournament held in the second half of term when, hopefully, the weather is getting a little milder and drier. Up until a week beforehand the rains had been constant and heavy. A short spell of dry weather, though, meant that the pitches were firm rather than hard. Above, we can see our First Seven (Under 13) playing Moulsford in a group match.

Colts Seven playing Berkhamsted

This was the 25th year of the tournament and all round it was a great success. The weather was perfect: warm, sunny and no wind or rain. Both our First Seven and the Colts Seven (Under 11), seen here in action in a group match against Berkhamsted, got through to the finals but were beaten by, respectively, Caldicott and Davenies.

Saracens training for our Sevens players

Still on the Sevens theme, the Saracens who last term showed our First Formers a thing or two about rugby were back the Friday after our Sevens Tournament to do a training session with our First and Second Sevens squad.

A Junior House Choir.

It hasn't all been rugby or, not forgetting Cross Country and Hockey, sport this term. There has been an incredible amount of musical performances from all levels of the school. This photo shows one of the Junior House Choirs doing their "action song" number at the House Music Competition on the last Thursday of term. There have also been two productions by the PrePrep and the First and Second Forms presented an excellent "Carnival Capers" late in the term. The only reason these don't feature more highly in the Easter Roundup is that nobody has given me any photos - yet!
