Pitches

 Looking down the hill from the all-weather surface:
Pitch 1 - (the 1st XV pitch) is directly below you.
Pitch 2 - is to the left of pitch 1 on the other side of the hedge and next to the marquee.
Pitch 3 - is to the right of pitch 1.

Times

 All matches are 5 minutes each way (time being allowed for conversions). The colts and senior finals will be 7 minutes each way.

Groups

 See the Groups table above. The first TWO in each group go forward to the semi-finals.
Seniors: Under 13 on August 1st 2009 and under 10 stone.
Juniors: Under 11 on August 1st 2009 and under eight stone.

Presentations

 Shields and individual medals will be presented to the winners and runners-up of each competition after the Senior Final.

Toilets

 There are ladies and gentlemen's toilets off the entrance hall to the Dining Room and men's toilets in the main changing rooms and in the Gym building.

Teas

 Hot drinks for parents and players will be available from the marquee during the afternoon. Teas will be served in the Dining Room for teams and parents between 5.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Tournament Rules
  • All matches will be 5 minutes each way (time being allowed for conversions) except the Colts and Senior finals which will be 7 minutes each way.
  • In the preliminary rounds 3 points will be given for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss.
  • In the semi finals and finals a draw at full time will result in up to two periods of 5 minutes each of extra time during which 'sudden death' is played. (Only a try can win 'sudden death' - not penalties.)
  • If there is still no result a decision will be based on the preliminary rounds:
    The side with the most points for,
    then
    The side with the least against,
    then
    The most tries scored less those against,
    then
    The toss of a coin.
  • If there is a draw on points in the group rounds the side that won the match between the two sides will go through. If that was a draw then the procedure above will apply.
  • All conversions will be drop kicks, with the colts in front of the posts.
  • Replacements may be made at any time with the consent of the referee.
  • Teams may involve up to TEN players.
  • Seniors must be under 13 on the 1st August 2009 and under ten stone.
  • Colts must be under 11 on the 1st August 2009 and under eight stone.
  • Boys will be weighed before the tournament.
  • Please arrive at your pitch 5 minutes before the start of your match.
