Please also read the notes below for guidance on approaching St John's.

Coaches

Because of a width restriction on Northwood Way/Hillside Road (see map) coaches must approach via the A404 Pinner Rd turning up Potter Street at the Northwood Hills roundabout. Potter Street is regularly congested but there is an alternative approach via Pinner Hill Rd at Pinner Green.

Please note, if approaching from Stanmore and Hatch End, there is no right turn into Pinner Hill Road from the A404 at Pinner Green.

There is a coach parking area immediately to the left as you enter the school.

Minibuses

Minibuses should pass through the width restriction without difficulty. If in doubt use the A404 / Potter Street route above.

Parking

There are a limited number of visitor car parking spaces outside the main building (White House). If you are arriving for a games fixture please park in the playground immediately to the right as you enter the school. Minibuses should also park on the playground leaving the coach parking area free for full-size coaches.

Cycling and public transport

We have secure parking on site for bicycles. Please note that we are a short cycle ride or a 15 - 20 minute walk from both the Northwood and Northwood Hills Metropolitan line stations and that bicycles can be taken on Metropolitain line trains outside rush hours.

The following bus routes come close to the school:

H11 from Harrow and Pinner, 282 from Eastcote and Northwood Hills - Ring the bell just after you pass Emmanuel Church and get off at the Church Road stop around the corner on Green Lane. Cross the road and turn right. Cross over Gatehill Rd and carry on along Northwood Way. Just after a width restriction turn left into a pedestrian cut-through. When the road forks, turn right into Wieland Rd and carry on uphill. Just after Shefton Rise turn right into the school's back entrance and follow the driveway up through a white archway and past various red brick teaching blocks to the Reception in the older white building.

H13 from Ruislip, Eastcote and Northwood Hills - Leaving the shops of Northwood Hills, the bus crosses the major Joel Street roundabout into Northwood Way. Ring the bell once you've passed the Hillside School stop and before the bus turns right into Hillside Rd and get off at the Hillside Rd / Northwood Way stop which is immediately after the right turn into Hillside Rd. Walk back along Hillside Rd and turn right into a pedestrian cut-through. When the road forks, turn right into Wieland Rd and carry on uphill. Just after Shefton Rise turn right into the school's back entrance and follow the driveway up through a white archway and past various red brick teaching blocks to the Reception in the older white building.
