St John’s welcomes boys aged 3-11 (Nursery – Year 6 inclusive).
The main entry points are at Nursery (3+) and Reception (4+) with places occasionally available for other year groups.

To make an application, each applicant is required register for an informal assessment prior to joining St John’s.
3+ and 4+ are invited into school in small groups for informal, play-based assessments to ensure that each boy will thrive at St John’s.
Older boys are invited to sit assessments in maths and literacy. The school will request a confidential pupil reference from your son’s current setting as part of the admissions process.

Wrap around care is managed by trusted partner Potter Street Hill After School Care, onsite at St John’s from 7:30-8.30am for breakfast club and 3.50-6pm for after school club.

Freshly prepared seasonal and nutritious meals are served in the dining hall from 11:40 am – 1.10 pm. The specialist in-house team cater for all dietary requirements and allergies.

Over 50 individual clubs are running throughout the week, from sports, music and drama to coding, chess and debating, ensuring there is something for everyone. Each term’s timetable varies.
Activities run before school, during lunchtime and after the school day.
Open to pupils and external students, Kruger Sports Camp and Stem Den holiday camps run through the school holidays.
From Year 4 onwards. Formal preparation and tailored support are provided to pupils and families to prepare for a wide range of senior schools.
Experienced staff form an educational journey around ability, interest and potential with academic support, extracurricular opportunities and close communication with families to ensure every boy is ready to thrive at his next setting.
