Responsible to: Bursar / EA to the Head and Bursar
Job Type: 12.45pm – 5.45pm, Monday to Friday Term time (including INSET days) plus 2 additional weeks per year. (Three days at the end of the summer term and start of the autumn term, plus one day before and after the end of each of the remaining terms).
Salary: £15,278 per annum (£14.55 per hour). Salary paid 40 weeks spread evenly over 12 months.

We are seeking a friendly, organised and professional Afternoon School Secretary / Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming school community.

As the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils, the successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive impression of the School while supporting the smooth running of the School Office. This varied role combines reception, administrative and secretarial responsibilities and includes providing basic first aid to pupils when required.

Key responsibilities include welcoming visitors, answering telephone and email enquiries, supporting day-to-day administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, ordering supplies and assisting with a wide range of School Office duties. The successful candidate will be organised, adaptable and able to work calmly and efficiently in a busy school environment.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail and a professional, approachable manner. Previous reception, administrative or school office experience would be advantageous.
