Joining St John’s
Applications are now open for our 2024 intake
Boys normally join St John's at 3+ in the Nursery or at 4+ in Reception. We also have a smaller intake at 7+ with boys going into Year 3. Other vacancies may occur from time to time in other years and particularly at 11+.
Assessment at 3+, 4+ and 7+
Admission at 3+ and 4+ is by a simple assessment designed to ensure that each boy has the potential to flourish within the environment and culture of St John’s. Boys who join us in the Junior Department of the Prep school at seven are assessed with written tests and an interview.
The Headmaster would be delighted to welcome you to our next Open Morning on May 15th, 2024 or for an individual tour of the school. Please contact the school office on 020 8866 0067 or email email@example.com

The school, in liaison with the mouthguard suppliers O-PRO, arranges for dentists to visit at the end of the Summer Term. Although Year 3 boys play only Touch Rugby they do play Hockey for which they will need a mouthguard. In rugby it is now a requirement for players of any age to wear protective head and shoulder pads as long as they comply with RFU regulations. At St John's we do not feel that this equipment is necessary for boys of Prep school age.
