Pre-Prep Outdoor Learning

At St John’s School, outdoor learning is an exciting part of early education. From the moment our Pre-Prep pupils step outside, they begin a journey of discovery, exploring nature, asking questions, and building confidence through hands-on experiences in the great outdoors.

Our outstanding outdoor spaces, including a dedicated forest area, an impressive tree house, educational bee hives, a tranquil well-being garden, and a brand-new outdoor classroom, spark imagination and bring learning to life.

Whether they’re hunting for mini-beasts, building dens, digging in the sand, or listening to stories around the fire, children develop creativity, teamwork, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Rain or shine, our boys are always ready in their wellies and waterproofs, embracing every season with energy and joy.

At St John’s, we see the outdoors as a vibrant, living classroom where young minds grow, explore, and thrive.
