St John's Association

The St John’s Association is our parent-teacher organisation and exists to develop and extend relationships between the staff, pupils and parents of the school.

Parent's summer ball

Members of the Association co-opt parents in a range of activities which support the school, advance the education of all pupils and provide additional facilities and equipment for the school. Funds are raised through social events for parents including a four-yearly spectacular summer ball, as well as family events such as race night, Christmas Bazaar and the Summer Fun Day. The Association also supports other charities, notably Macmillan Cancer Support and the charity designated annually by the school.

The highlight of the autumn term is our Fireworks evening which always sets out to be the loudest display in the Northwood. The end of the autumn term brings with it the Christmas Bazaar complete with visits to Father Christmas, a room where boys can buy and wrap presents for mum and dad and the now world-famous Human Fruit Machine.

As the weather improves in the summer term, the Association provides a tuck shop, Pimms tent and a barbeque for parents and families on the school’s Charity Day. The Summer Fun Day takes place in July with a huge selection of stalls, sideshows and games and amazing Chinese and Indian food provided by our parents.

As ever, we are indebted to the Association committee, school staff and all the parents whose enthusiastic work on behalf of the school makes a considerable difference to St John’s and many others.

The St John's Association is a registered charity.
