Head of Geography
Required for September 2022
St John's is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified graduate to lead the department as Head of Geography in a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will teach Geography to pupils from Year 5 to 8. There are plenty of opportunities for pupils to develop confidence and creativity so the successful candidate will feel at ease delivering stimulating lessons.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the co-curricular activity programme. Having the ability to coach boys’ games will be an advantage. St John’s has its own very attractive salary scale significantly above national levels. Staff accommodation is available, if required.
Catering assistant
17.5 hours per week, 11.00 - 14.00 term time only
We are seeking to appoint a catering assistant to join our highly regarded team. The suitable applicant will
need to be an excellent team worker, preferably with previous experience of school catering.
Lower School Teaching Assistant
(two posts; one maternity cover)
Required for September 2022
St John's is looking to appoint two full-time teaching assistants (one fixed term maternity cover contract) to join our existing dedicated and experienced team. Candidates should be enthusiastic, confident and able encourage curiosity where children are motivated to reach their potential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about caring for the children, able to use their initiative, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare is desirable.
Visiting Violin/Viola Teacher
Required for September 2022
We are seeking to appoint a self-employed visiting string teacher. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, dedicated and able to teach both violin and viola to pupils from Year 3 to Year 8. Candidates should have a love of their instrument and a desire to impart intellectual curiosity and creativity through the delivery of stimulating memorable and challenging instrumental lessons.

Cleaning assistant
12.5 hours per week, 6.30 - 9.00 term time only
We are seeking to appoint a cleaning assistant to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained at this boy's day school in Northwood. The suitable applicant will
need to be an excellent team worker, preferably with previous experience of school cleaning.
